My Favorite Sustainable and Disruptive Technologies

Sustainable and Disruptive technologies; What are they?

A sustainable technology is a technology that continues to grow from year to year and is replaced by a newer version, rather than a whole new program, based on consumer demand. This technology is steady and helps society grow by helping to increase productivity through efficiency and effectiveness.

A disruptive technology is a  brand new technology that cannot grow or be more than it is. This technology takes away from and poses certain threats towards sustainable technologies. It does not help contribute to a societiess productivity.

Throughout the day an individual might use both types of these technologies, maybe even without knowing it. In a day in my life, I definitely use both types of technologies, an example of each type are below.

SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGY
TD Canada Trust Interact - This technology can be considered a sustainable one because it has existed for years and although its software is constantly updated and improved, the program and basic service is still offered. This technology helps create an effective and efficient society by enabling individuals or groups to be able to save money, transfer money, withdraw cash and several other transactions and procedures that through past methods might have cost the business time and money.

DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Movies on Demand - This technology can be considered a disruptive technology because not only is it a fairly new technology, it also takes away from many sustainable technologies such as movie rental businesses, movie theatres, etc.

Below is a link to an article which discuses the top 10 most disruptive technology combinations.
